Michael Coscia is an industry leader in delivering successful marketing solutions built on effective strategies that leverage e-commerce, offset printing, mailing service, signage and promotional products.
In 2020, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, his partnership with a print and fulfillment center blocks from the White House preserved jobs.
An expert in retail efforts supporting large-scale events, Michael co-directed merchandise operations during the Democratic National Convention in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020, as well as e-commerce and onsite merchandise operations during the U.S. Presidential Inaugural in 2001, 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2021. At these events, he has managed all aspects of merchandise operations, including developing financial projections, product and design selection, purchasing goods, directing web-store implementation, scouting and building out retail and warehouse locations, and hiring and managing staff, while simultaneously leading the direct-to-client sales efforts. Michael has also coordinated the printing of credentials for the Democratic National Convention 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and U.S. Presidential Inaugural in 1993, 1997, 2009, 2013, and 2021.
Michael is also an expert in solving product logistics issues, which he has done for numerous major clients working across the national landscape, including the Democratic National Committee, Gore for President, Kerry for President, Hillary for President (2008), Obama for America and Hillary for America (2016) and Biden for President (2020).
His non-political work includes creating web and retail merchandise programs for the International Association of Fire Fighters, Air Line Pilots Association, Allied Pilots Association and the Communications Workers of America. He has also provided collateral for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the ALS Association National Conference, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association biannual meeting, the Excellence in Government Awards Conference, and the National Indian Gaming Association’s industry tradeshow.
Prior to 1998, Michael owned Smith Graphics and later Adspecs/Imagexpress Group, where he grew a $15,000 gross revenue typesetting business into a $3 million dollar union labor commercial offset printer, textile screen printer, and promotional product distributor. Major clients included Clinton/Gore 1996, the 1993 and 1997 Presidential Inaugural Committees, International Freedom Foundation, United Parcel Service Government Affairs, National Indian Gaming Association, National Council on Aging, and Washington, Inc.
Additionally, Michael operated three retail copy stores, just blocks from the U.S. Capitol and a 20,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, just outside Washington, D.C.
